Micmat was started in 1997 by Matthew and Michelle May, with the primary purpose of distributing hinges,
locks and accessories to the sheet metal manufacturing sector. Micmat has since formed trading
agreements with various component manufacturers, the primary being Damar. Micmat and Damar have
since forged a completely integrated working relationship.
